La demanda de maca se ha incrementado considerablemente en Europa y Asia, ya que en el primer semestre las exportaciones sumaron US$ 3.17 millones y avanzarían 10% al cierre del 2010, informó la Comisión de Promoción del Perú para la Exportación y el Turismo (Promperú).

Hoy 10 de septiembre se aprobó por unanimidad el proyecto de ley de un solo artículo por el cual declara de necesidad pública y prioritario interés nacional la construcción de la carretera Machu Picchu – Santa Teresa – Santa María, así como la realización de los estudios de la vía Santa Teresa – Mollepata.
El dictamen fue sancionado con 77 votos a favor en primera votación y se le exoneró del requisito de segunda votación también por unanimidad (76 votos).
